A Drawer Runner is a vital element when it comes to opening and closing a drawer. Essentially, they are the mechanism that allows a drawer to be used and work as a drawer should. Often referred to as “drawer slides”, drawer runners are what enable a drawer to open smoothly and function efficiently without getting stuck or jammed. How do drawer runners work?

If they were only mounted on one side, the drawers would just get stuck or become very unstable and wonky! Drawer runners reduce friction between the drawer and the rest of the unit, also preventing damage.
